July 2008 - Staff -
The staff wasn't very knowledgeable of the menu. When I asked if they had chocolate milk, the waiter said he wasn't sure, so we asked for regular milk. The waiter came back with some hot fudge in the milk, but it wasn't stirred (he gets something for the effort though).
Environment -
The environment is pretty cool, with different aminals throughout the restaurant. There is an elephant on the wall, there are giraffes, several fans when you walk in. Our visit was on a Sunday and the restaurant definitely caters to the senior crowd. There was no wait to be seated.
Food -
The food was disappointing. My wife and I split a steak sandwich because we were not super hungry. It looks nothing like the picture on the menu. The steak is an open faced sandwich and it had a lot of fat on it. It wasn't especially flovorful either. My wife found a hair on her half of the sandwich. We mentioned some of the issues (not to get a free meal, but to tell them that the steak wasn't very good and the waiter took the info back to the kitchen. Nobody came by to apologize (which wasn't necessary, but it would have been nice to know that they cared).
Conclusion -
I don't really see going back here. If it wasn't for the ambience and the cleanliness, this rating would have been worse.
