| "Brand New Campground" |

by Jean (from calgary) September 2007 - This campground was hard to find coming from the east side but it sure was a welcome place to land after a long hot day on the road. We had reserved a brand new cabin that was complete with an air conditioner, what a treat that was. There was also free internet access. The campground store carried locally made jams and jellies, as well as any needs you’d have for camping. They have a basketball court for the children and there are horseshoe pits and a good size playground. Many folks were pleasantly surprised seeing a “dog bark park”! What a super idea. The washrooms and showers were sparkling clean. This is the ideal spot to do all your day trips from. The National Monument right at Grand Junction was breath taking, with awesome scenery. We were able to go to Moab Utah and also get to see the Grand Mesa Verde in Colorado. This campground is open year round and we would definitely stop in here again
