May 2008 - Environment:
The restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were clean. The men's bathroom had hot water running (I think it was a little too hot). The lobby area only accommodates about 10 people or so, so those waiting usually stood outside. I'm not sure how convenient that is when the weather is cold. There were a lot of people waiting outside, but it was a nice evening, so it wasn't a big deal. We were a larger party (seven people) and the wait was about 20 minutes (which is what the hostess indicated.
Food:
The menu was decent sized and they had decent specials. My mother-in-law had to ask for a new potato since hers was not cooked. The second potato was slightly better. My daughter ordered the crab legs and they brought her the wrong food. It took awhile before they were able to bring it out for her. The manager was apologetic, However, I was surprised that they didn't comp her meal, given the amount of time we had to wait for it. My wife had the Steak Lobster, and Shrimp Oscar (a new menu item, I think) and she was especially pleased with it. For the most part, I think everyone was happy with the meal.
Conclusion:
The food was good, but the customer service needed some work. However, the manager allowing my daughter to touch a lobster definitely helped the overall rating.
