| "Very Poorly Maintained Property" |

October 2007 - I actually booked this property 45 years ago for a date when I was freshman at Yale. At that time it was a first class motor inn. Today it is a property in terrible repair. The public areas smell of disinfectant and the entry doors are warped in there frames. The person handling registration is untrained in customer service and is coping with dsyfunctional computer equipment. The room I booked for myself and wife was charged at $180 per night. For that we got draperies which did not work; a dead bold lock which did not work; ancient linens on the bed; wall sockets that were non-functioning; a toilet loose on its foundation; towels which reminded me of high school gym towels of many decades ago; a jacuzzi that was missing parts; heaters that would not have functioned had we needed them; an air conditioner that sounded like a jet engine; a king bed with a terrible mattress and a sofa/daybed which was coming apart. That this property serves as a "conference center" is not credible. Those who book into the property without knowing what they are getting are likely in the future to avoid not only this facility but any facility sporting the "Econo Lodge" name. If Econo Lodge is serious about its image it will advise property management to close down the facility pending a through cleaning and necessary repair and replacement work.
