April 2008 - The Black Angus Bar & Grill was a sweet sight for a couple of girls craving meat. We stopped at this establishment because of a large sign that indicated a value for money product. The interior was not noteworthy and looked like a typical American steak house. We got well acquainted with the décor as we waited half an hour for a table (this seems to be standard in all Kissimmee Restaurants, as I suspect, due to the vast quantity of tourists). The server was friendly and did a good job of convincing us to splurge on our ‘hard earned’ vacation meal. I ordered the sirloin steak dinner for $19.99 that included warmed rolls, a tasty Caesar salad, a loaded baked potato and a very tender and tasty steak cooked exactly as ordered. The meal hit the spot after a busy day at the theme parks. We also ordered a large piece of carrot cake (hey, we were on vacation), which was a disappointment. It was the same defrosted, mass produced desserts that you can seen graced on many North American dessert menus. The only slight surprise was when the bill came and there was an automatic 15% gratuity included on the bill (we were only a table of three). We took this in stride as we figured this automatic charge actual saved us 5 % because we would have tipped 20%…Oh well.
