June 2008 - Staff -
The staff was okay. We had a large party celebrating an anniversary and it seemed that we had to constantly ask the waiter for things that he forgot. However, the staff really isn't the draw.
Environment -
There usually is a long wait to get into Joe's, so if you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. I've been to this restaurant in the past with a party of 4 and an hour wait during the evening isn't out of line here. However, with our large party (10-12 people), we only waited about 20 minutes on this visit. There isn't much of a waiting area, given how many people come to this restaurant. The bathroom was clean, which is something that is important to me. One complaint was that the restaurant ran out of wet wipes. How does a restaurant that serves finger food (i.e. shrimp, etc) run out of wet wipes? They also ran out of one of the desserts (can't remember which one). Overall, the environment was good, as the good food outweighed the negative events.
Food -
As always at Joe's Crab Shack, the food was good. In our party, a hamburger was not prepared the right way and it had to be sent back. However, the seafood is really the draw here.
Conclusion -
I would recommend this establishment. However, they can improve some of the little things.
