| "Disappointing visit" |

June 2007 - Our room was not non-smoking and when I objected, was told by the manager, that I had not requested a non-smoking room. My reservation distinctly said non-smoking. Then, the manager said it was probably a common happening where someome took my room and left a smoking room for me as I was coming in very late. The desk clerk suggested another room, still smoking, in another building. She said it wasn't used by smokers as much. It was acceptable mostly because it was very late. It was much less smoke smelling but the smell lingered on us and plugged up my sinuses. The carpeting was so worn that my wife didn't even want to take off her shoes to walk around - like it was very old and grimy.
Also, the other residents seemed to be mostly workers and not the usual type of motel user and made it feel like we wanted to stay inside and keep the door locked.
The same desk clerk was on duty in the moring and was very pleasant but no one apologised for our inconvenience.
The website was misleading for this property and I'd never go back again. By contrast, we stayed in another one in the group in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and it was great!
