February 2008 - We had such a pleasant experience here! The owner lives nearby and was very warm and welcoming. She is a font of information about Oahu - its history, beaches, culture - anything you want to know. She has stocked the house with lots of books about Oahu, plus maps and menus.
The house itself could not have been nicer. Everything we could imagine was provided. The wi-fi was especially convenient for us. We also enjoyed the cable TV, DVD player, laundry room, and large refrigerator-freezer.
Although located in a tightly packed neighborhood, the house is very private and quiet (except for the sound of the ocean). The back yard ends at the beach. Ewa Beach is not a big surfing spot, so it was usually deserted, giving us the feeling of having our own private beach with a view of Diamond Head.
The traffic on the main road to Ewa is horrendous. We're selfishly hoping that this is enough to keep this spot undiscovered for now.
