| "Excellent tour and movie" |

June 2005 - We went to this house, the murder site of the 6-member Moore family and two guests, the Stillinger children, after seeing a special screening of the movie "Villisca: Living with a Mystery". It was an experience we will never forget. Before seeing the movie, we wondered who on earth would give tours of a murder site. It seemed terribly tragic, and distasteful. But after seeing the film, which is one of the best true crime docs we've seen, we WANTED to see the house. The house is amazingly furnished and restored to its 1912 appearance. The tour guide was very nice, and helpful. The movie set the tone for the tour of the house, and made the event, though it happened almost 100 years ago, very real. It was worth the $10 per person to see.
