May 2008 - This is possibly my worst hotel experience ever - first we booked for two adults and two children, but had only been allocated a room with a double bed (possibly a flaw of the booking system). That we did get sorted, at extra cost, taking our cost to a level similar to a much better quality hotel.
But much more importantly, the noise level from the downstairs nightclub was unbearable! The club was extremely noisy, the rooms right on top, with no apparent noise insulation. It was like sleeping on the dance floor. Even if the website does say that there is a night club downstairs, you don't expect the noise to be so bad!

September 2007 - The room at the Pilgrim was large, comfortable and clean. The location was right in the center of town making it easy to get to all of the places we planned to go. On the downside, the Pilgrim House is above a night club. If you are not someone who likes to be out late, then this is not the place for you. We went to bed at 10pm to be awakened by the loud thumping of the music below us from 11pm-1am on Friday and from 9pm-1am on Saturday (we did ask the front desk person if we would hear the music in our room and they told us it would only be a vibration...we heard every word and thump..people in the hallway sounded as if they were in our room as well). We were able to laugh about it but I can see not being too pleased if you're tired after a long drive. Parking is not provided but you can get overnight parking off season just across the street for $15/day. Final review..if you're a party animal...you'll love it, if you're looking for a quiet romantic weekend...don't stay here.
