| "The worst hotel ever" |

May 2007 - This is the sorriest hotel ever. I took my family for a graduation and stayed from 18 May to 21. First time to the area and we did not want to drive a long distance, so we reserved this hotel by phone because it was the closest and since most hotels in that vicinity were all booked we thought this was the best choice. Since there were no reviews and hotels were booked a month in advance for the graduation, We went by the rosie information they had on their website. This hotel literally has no service to talk about, the front desk attendant is there to check you in and out. The wholeway stunk from cigarette smoke, we reserved a non-smoking room but were given a smoking room. We managed to get that changed and the supposed non-somking room had holes in the bed covers and blankets from cigarett burns. Regular rates were supposed to be $89.00 a night but because of graduation they jacked their room rates to $129.00 a night. The rooms smell bad. We have stayed in what we thought were the worst hotels before, but none of them were as bad as Cambridge Gateway Inn. The morning we were to leave we were approched by two young couple in the wholeway telling us they could not start their car and could we give them a ride to downtown. The woman was decorated with probably 10 gold chains and bracellets, the guy, a teen with his pants hanging and smoking in the wholeway, we did not feel safe at all. My advice for anyone is to stay away. Whatever government agency, health department or otherwise need to investigate this dump and shut it down.
