November 2007 - This was our second visit to Salem and our first time at this hotel, and we loved it. We booked a mini suite, the room was a good size for our comfort. All the staff were very nice, and the hotel is clean. It is entirely smoke free and I really appreciated that since I am allergic to smoke. We enjoyed the pool, they have a workout room, but we did not use that this trip. They supplied coffee in the room and lobby, and we had use of a fridge and microwave in the room.
Besides the smoke free environment, the best part for me was the location. It is within walking distance to attractions and restaurants, so we didn't have to use the care once it was parked.
My only complaint was it was a bit pricy as we were there Halloween week, and I was disappointed that we were told we could not use AAA discount on the weekend.
I really enjoyed our stay, and will stay at Salem Waterfront Hotel when I return to Salem.
