August 2007 - We were surprised to see that our room (condo) had a murphy bed. We hoped for the best but things were not as good as we had expected for the Grand Traverse Resort. I first had to defrost the freeze/ice maker when we entered the room. The beach was nice and the landscape was beautiful. Sleep, hovere, proved to be less than acceptable. The murphy bed had a loose panel in the front and the matress seemed OK. But after two nights my right leg was sore and I was glad we were leaving. We couldn't even use the toaster in the kitchen without the smoke alarm going off. It was like being in my mother-in-laws old run down 5th-wheel in Florida- except it is free. I am sure the hotel part of this resort is much nicer. I didn't expect to be out in a room like this.
