July 2008 - The Mediterranean Grill located in the Detroit Metro Airport is a decent place to eat but it is very far from its Greek roots. The décor is a reasonable attempt at a Mediterranean look and feel and, in fact, it is more relaxing than the hustle and bustle inside the terminals. Their menu is expansive and includes a wide variety of dishes such as shish kebab, shwarma, and various pitas. They offer lunch and dinner sized portions and meals. Most lunch items cost around $10 while dinners cost about $15. Five of us sat down for lunch and we all had more food than we could eat. The general consensus was that the meals were good but not great. There is no such thing as a Greek salad in this restaurant: it’s a house salad with Greek dressing. The service was very good, but almost apathetic. They also serve a decent array of domestic beers. The restaurant was moderately busy during the middle of the week.
