July 2007 - I used the web to book a room in Boonville. I somehow got taken to a site which offered Comfort Inn in Boonville. When we got to Boonville, we couldn't find a Comfort Inn. Only then did we discover that I had mistakenly booked the room at Boonville, Mo., not the Boonville, Ca. that I was at. It was about 3:00 in the afternoon of July 14th, the day of the reservation. We called immediately to tell the hotel that we wouldn't be able to get there because of my mistake. We were told that we cancelled too late and would be charged for the room. I still don't understand how I mistakenly got the wrong state, but had hoped to get some compassion and not be charged.
