April 2008 - I drive through or past Big Timber on I90 about two to four times a year and had been told that there was a new coffee place in town. Crazy Bean café has been open since August 2007 and is small with just two high tables and matching chairs and one seating area with three sofas. The lighting was the only thing that let it down for me because a room with low ceilings should not have strip lighting and it did. The latte coffee was good and the locally baked muffin went down well. There were photographs of horses hung on the walls by a local photographer that were for sale and the place was very relaxing and quiet, however, they said that they have a kids’ playroom, although I didn’t see it so my guess is that the place might not be quite as peaceful if a group of children are there playing. There is also a drive-thru window, which I’m sure I’ll be making use of the next time I’m in Big Timber.
