April 2008 - We ate breakfast at the Caribe Cafe on our first day during our stay at the Mirage Hotel. We had to wait for about 20 minutes for a table and unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait. Luckily, we had good company to offset the horrible food we were about to eat! I ordered the one egg, one meat, one toast and "hash browns" meal. My poached egg was very runny despite ordering it well done and the hash browns were mashed potato slop fried to resemble some sort of potato pancake. Our friend had the eggs benedict, which she said was mediocre. Our toast was cold, too. Beware of adding on any extras to your meal. Three extra pieces of breakfast meat cost $6...each! Breakfast for four was $65 not including the tip ($18 of that was on two pieces of bacon and a sausage). Although the food was less than mediocre, our server was very friendly and attentive and we tipped her well. We didn't bother complaining about our food, we just chose to not dine at the Caribe Cafe again.
