October 2007 - I travel almost every week and I usually stay in resort properties and this was the first time I have stayed in a Homewood Suites Hotel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how nice my room was. The room was spacious and laid out well and the furniture and fixtures were of much higher quality than I would have expceted. I liked the fact that you had a flat panel plasma T.V. and a dock for my IPod, in addition I liked the fact that all the electircal outlets were well laid out and you put a quad outlet by the desk, one by the bed so that I could charge my mobile phone (which I also use as my alarm clock) and I wasn't searching for some place to plug in the iron (which I have to do at most of the hotels I stay at). I found the bed to be very comfortable and you had a wide variety of pillows, which allowed both my wife and me to find one to our liking. I especially liked the shower head, as I'm 6'8" tall and usually the shower heads are way too low, this one was way above my head and I really appreciated that. Although we didn't partake in the breakfast buffet, we could tell it was not the noraml fare associated with these types of hotels. The food looked and smelled great and had we not had plans to join our kids for brunch, we probably would have taken the time to have a quick breakfast. Overall I was quite pleased with my stay and if all the Homewood Suites are like this one, I would definitely consider staying at another one on one of my many trips. Thanks!
