| "Bargain Hunting a Wise Choice" |

December 2007 - Chili’s in Beaver Creek OH was our destination on a Saturday evening. One might expect a popular restaurant to be jammed with customers but fortunately, on this night there was no wait and we were seated by a very pleasant hostess.
Drink orders were taken promptly and it wasn’t long before we began to partake of our meal. We chose to take advantage of a special—barbequed ribs, fries and a salad—plus our choice of several desserts on the menu for a very reasonable price of $12.99.
First, though, we placed an order for chips and salsa and found them to be an excellent appetizer choice, with the salsa not too spicy for our taste and the chips warm and tasty.
Our salads were nicely prepared and appeared very fresh.
Strangely, two identical rib orders were different in quality. One was exceptionally good, with a nice, juicy flavor and plenty of meat. The other was a bit dry. We can’t explain the reason for it but the second entrée was still reasonably good. The French fries were nicely seasoned and plentiful.
Two others in our dining party chose fish entrees, salmon and talapia, and reported both to be very good and were nicely prepared.
Our desserts included cheesecake and a large chocolate “molten lava” type cake oozing with chocolate sauce and topped with ice cream. Sinful would not be too strong of a word to describe this delight. The cheesecake was served at a properly cooled temperature and had a moist, appealing texture and very good graham crust.
Although somewhat disappointed in one of the entrees, overall we’d recommend this restaurant for anyone because of it’s quality service, location and wide variety of menu choices.
