December 2007 - We got into Coos Bay in the late evening and were very hungry after being on the road for a long seven hour drive in the pouring rain. The hotel staff suggested a restaurant but it was closed when we got there so we started looking around. My husband spotted a place that looked like a pub and didn't look too great but there was a parking spot in front so we stopped. That was the first good choice we had made all day. The restaurant was huge with extreme Mexican bright decor. And the place was very busy - a good sign! My husband was uncertain what to order so the waiter ordered for him. I order a beef fajita and a margarita. I asked for the small margarita and got a swimming pool size - I don't want to know what size large was! Our food came quickly and was fantastic. My husband ended up with a gigantic chimichanga. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought out tequila shooters. Apparently every patron gets as many as they can drink at the end of the meal. I passed on mine but my husband tried it - slammed and downed. This was a fun place and if we are every in the area again we will make a point of going back. I wish we had one where I live!
