August 2007 - This Mount Rushmore dining room is wonderful. Every table has a view of the mountain. It’s like having lunch with the Presidents. It is a very large room with lots of tables. There is many friendly staff to help you get settled. The day we were lucky enough to be there, was hot and sunny, so the air conditioned room was quite welcome.
The buffet and cafeteria style dining has a variety of hot and cold meals. There are extensive choices for the breakfast or lunch or dinner guests. We had the roast beef dinner and it was delicious. Also available are natural beef or bison burgers that are quite popular. There are lots of choices for your own personal pizza with a variety of fresh toppings and loads of cheese. They are then cooked in their brick ovens.
There is a lovely and delicious hard ice cream parlour attached to the dining room. What a crowning joy to our delightful visit to Mount Rushmore.
We plan to come back here and try their pizzas next time.
