| "Amazing Pinnacles" |

May 2006 - I had no idea what to expect of Bryce Canyon which I visited on a road trip around the southwestern part of the USA. We were there during the late Spring, around May and there was still snow on the ground. What a stunningly beautiful treat we had. We decided to do an overnight hike which was a great way to get down into the canyon and see some of the amazingly intricate weathering that had brought about the strange looking hoodoos. The park information center advised us of a good route and we let them know approximately where we were headed. The canyon runs more or less in a straight line so it was actually relatively easy for us to find our way through it. We saw almost no one and the sunset and sunrise in the canyon were breathtaking. If you’re in the area I would fully recommend it.
