"Big, bad and beautiful!"
by Rachael (from Beverley, England)
May 2006 - The American Southwest is full of red rock canyons that seem never ending. Zion is no exception and captured my imagination, despite the fact that I’d already visited Bryce Canyon, Canyon de Chelly and Arches National Park. I chose to hike the Angels Landing trail, which was awesome. It is reasonably strenuous and not good if you’re scared of heights as the track has long drop offs on both sides in some places. It took me about five hours round trip to do the five mile trail, so it climbs to a good height and is well worth it for the wonderful views of the canyon. Zion National Park is amazing!
