October 2007 - We stayed at this hotel for two nights... if it had not been the height of fall colors, and other accommodation had been available, we wouldn't have stayed at all.
The checkin area was poorly kept, junk stacked all over. The staff were pleasant enough, but our room had dirty carpets, and a threadbare couch. The bed was ok. We went out for dinner, and on return found a number of spiders patrolling our room. I killed about five, and although we didn't want to stay, the hotel was full, as was everywhere else. We spent a tather sleepless night, and in the morning I turned on the light, and discovered a large spider on a thread from the ceiling about to park on my wife's back. I killed another 5-6 as we got up!
We got a different room for the second night... it was quite a bit nicer, but not wonderful. Our friends staying down the hall had the power to their room go off about 11.00 PM, and were given flashlights for the balance of their (short) stay. We couldn't leave soon enough, and we will not ever be back!!
