April 2006 - In a town where it seems most restaurants cater to the tourist crowd, McCarthy's is clearly a local fave - from the basic diner atmosphere to the reasonably-priced, big breakfasts to locals hanging about trading gossip, McCarthy's is the kind of good, no frills restaurants found in many small towns. We were there on St. Patrick's Day so the placed was decked out in green clovers and, in keeping with their Irish roots, appeared to be serving more than coffee at 10 am.
