April 2008 - We stayed for 3 days at this Travelodge. The staff was pleasant. The hotel is rather dated with no apparent upgrades, but if you want a place to stay and don't need any frills, this might do it for you. We stayed in two different rooms (our stay was not on consecutive nights). The first room had no outlet in the bathroom, so it was difficult for grooming issues. Second room did have an outlet and a larger sink area. Street traffic might be too noisy for light sleepers.
No internet in the rooms, nothing fancy or out of the ordinary. However, it is only 7+ blocks from the Metro Braddock Station (not a good walk at night, but you could take a taxi. We walked it during the day). If you don't have a lot of suitcases, this could work for budget-conscious travelers. There is a Trader Joe's across the street, with lots of do-it-yourself food stuffs and plenty of stores down Washington and along King St. By Metro, Braddock Station is only about 15-20 minutes to DC.
If you like to stay in your hotel and relax for a vacation, then choose another hotel! This one has virtually no lobby or sitting area. But if you just want to sleep and stow your bags, then this Travelodge will accomodate that need. They offer a AAA discount, as well.
