February 2006 - This econo lodge is the worst scam in the world. They charged $83.90 a night. Show you beautiful pictures and beautiful rooms and a beautiful hall to make you think this is a hotel, when it's just a motel. The pictures grossly represent the hotel. I was driving to Va all of a sudden I had the idea that I stayed at this place once before and it wasn't like what I saw in the picture. I called my on-star and she called this Econ lodge and they said it had a one star rating. Then I knew this wasn't the place I wanted to stay at. I stayed on the line, it was 3 way calling all the time, so I have a witness as to what was said. I then asked if the rooms were fairly new, or newly renovated, clean, etc, and if they looked like what I saw on-line. He laughed and said, no, no, no. I said then I need to cancel this renovation. He said okay but it's past 6 so I'm charging for tonight. He knew he scammed me. Three miles from this Econo Lodge was the Marriott. A beautiful Hotel, with room service, 3 restaurants, indoor pool & hot tub, exercise room and they charged a whopping $89.00 a night. Did I forget to mention that they had cable, internet connection, wireless keyboards in the room and games available on-line at a rate of $4.99 for 2hours. They offered great service, carry our packages to our rooms. The marriott is in Falls Church but only 3miles from the Econo lodge. I was screwed for $84.00 because of pictures that looked good. Don't you be fooled too.
