October 2007 - When I checked into my room, there were white stains on my maroon bed spread. There was water in the ice bucket, a used coffee packet in the coffee maker and a partially opened coffee pack in the coffee basket.
The "Enhanced Breakfast" had fruit and some sort or egg patties in a steamer to set it apart from other nearby budget oriented hotels.
The layout is three 2 - story buildings w/parking, one behind the other, making a long walk to the lobby at night less than comfortable.
Accessing the entrance driveway when returning from down town requires a U Turn at a light with a left turn lane.
Of particular irritation was that several TV channels that I wished to view were "unavailable" (Comedy Central, MTV, and some others including local access and BBC) with no acceptable explanation at the front desk. They did offer to change my room but all that was available was in one of the other buildings. Changing a room in the middle of a 4 night stay was too big a hassle.
The staff was courteous.
I'll try another place on my next monthly trip to Richmond.
