| "A true once in a lifetime experience!" |

March 2008 - In March, I decided to try this glider ride out of Arlington airport. I had NO idea just how breathtaking this experience would be! The pilot/instructor was very nice and helpful in explaining what to expect, while on the ground in a preflight briefing.
I couldn't beleive just how smooth and quiet it was up in the cockpit. We could wisper between us without headsets, which are necssary in powerplanes. I'm glad that I brought my camera because the views of the Cascades and Olympics were spectacular at 3000'. We even saw an eagle flying up near us!
This is an experience of a lifetimefor anyone who has never tried glider soaring. I'm even thinking of taking lessons up in Arlington with Northwest Eagle Soaring because the plane they use is so much newer and better made than the old junky looking gliders that some of the clubs have.
Thanks for a great experience and for a lifetime memory...
