August 2007 - The hotel is conveniently located to the freeway, shopping and restaurants. The room was adequately clean, some stains on the carpet, chips in the tile, and the shower curtain had a mildew smell. It was very busy with summer guests and students coming in, so it was not very quiet. They have no smoking signs posted, but the ash recepticles are 3 feet away from the door to the restaurant and to the doors to the rooms. So, there was always cigarette smoke in the air and if you left the window open even a crack, there was smoke. The staff was friendly and responsive, the cleaners were conscientious, but the motel seemed tired and frayed. The sounds transferred easily between rooms, and for some reason, there was a door between the bathrooms, so the sounds bounced very loudly there. If I had no other choice, I could stay there again, but it would not be my first or second choice.
